SCJH’s Friday “Try It Out” skating classes are made possible through the generosity of a donor who believes in opening doors for our skaters. These sessions are offered at little cost so that children and Jackson Hole Youth can explore something new, discover the joy of skating, and experience an opportunity they might not otherwise have. It’s a chance to learn, grow, and be able to step onto the ice with confidence!

- Skaters must register for their desired class prior to arriving.
- 10 skaters are need to run each class. If 10 skaters is not hit 48 hours prior to the set day classes may be canceled and a full refund will be made.
- A Club membership will not be paid since classes are a one off and a "Try it Out"
- Each class has additional levels required as well as gear and provided. Please confirm you meet all criteria prior to registering.
- As a valued member of our community and program, SCJH expects skaters and parents to demonstrate humanity, kindness, empathy, and respect. We have a zero-tolerance policy for racism, discrimination, harassment, or hate in any form. SCJH reserves the right to refuse service to skaters or parents who do not adhere to the club's protocols and policies.
- It is important to carefully read and understand all the waivers during the registration process. While SCJH strives to accommodate changes and understands that life can be unpredictable, please note that we do not issue refunds (unless session minimum is not hit) or make up classes. We will communicate any updates or changes via email, so please ensure that you provide us with your correct email address for effective communication. Please click HERE for more information on refunds/missed classes. If your skater is wishing to skate but cost is an issue please reach out and inquire about a scholarship.

*Levels: SCJH Basic 4 through Advanced
Join SCJH and our coaches for specialty Friday classes designed to help bring something new to the ice for your Basic 4 level through Advanced skater! This 45-minute session will feature group instruction in synchronized skating, giving skaters a chance to explore this exciting disciplines. After class, you can stay and enjoy a public session ran through the rink—perfect for having fun, building confidence, and putting new skills into motion. Please note: the Public drop in fee will not be included in your class (so please pay the rink if you stay).
Class Dates and times:

This 45-minute session will feature group instruction in synchronized skating, giving skaters a chance to explore this exciting disciplines. "Try It" HOCKEY Classes & Scrimmage Info/gear needed :
- No USA Hockey Registered players please (Excluding: U5/U6)!! - 10 skaters per Friday are needed to run these classes
- Ages: First grade-5th grade*
- 👉Mandatory Level Check: Skaters must be comfortable Skating forward and 6-10 years old. These classes are for skaters wanting to try Hockey out in a comfortable setting, these classes aren't for USA Hockey Registered skaters.
- 👉Mandatory Gear: Skates, shin pads, elbow gloves, Helmet with full cage, Gloves, sticks, labeled water bottles.
- Highly Recommend Gear: protective hockey pants, shoulder pads, mouth & neck guard
- Don’t have gear? You can borrow odd's and end pieces from us & skates can be rented from the front desk at the rink. Please note: We DO NOT have sticks or full cage (hockey) helmets available to borrow unfortunately. Please try to borrow from a friend since full cage hockey helmets/sticks are mandatory list!!! If you are planning on borrowing other equipment from us please let us know during registration and arrive 30 min early.
40 min Hockey Group class - Featuring: interactive games, coaching instruction, hockey scrimmages, fun with friends and a Moose Hockey Player Coach. Followed by a 20 min Monitored open “Hockey Game Play”. There will be stick and puck active play- this is why a full cage helmet is required.
