The Figure Skating Club of Jackson Hole (SCJH) thrives thanks to the dedication and support of our parents and community members. Because tuition and membership fees cover only a portion of our total expenses, we rely on fundraising events, donations, and volunteer contributions to make up the difference. This helps us keep our programs affordable and accessible for all.
To ensure the club receives the necessary volunteer support, we require each Aspire and Advanced family to complete volunteer hours. We are thankful for the wonderful community effort that makes the SCJH programming possible.
The following policy will take effect starting Fall session, 2025:
Volunteer Payment Plan
- Initial Billing/Sign up: During active registration, Aspire and Advanced families will sign up normally as in prior years. Families registering early will have the option to break their season fees into a payment plan, with the semester paid in full prior to the start of the season, excluding the Volunteer Charge (which will be applied internally). Please select the payment plan option that best suits your family (or pay in full). All payment plans must be paid in full before the start of each semester.
- Work Deposit Volunteer Charge: A final payment equal to the Volunteer Charge will be scheduled internally and applied to your account on December 15 (for Fall-only skaters) or March 15 (for Winter/Full Season skaters) if volunteer hours are not met. This Charge will come in your Active Account as an add on.
- Volunteer Charge: A second payment, equal to the Volunteer Charge, will be scheduled for April 30th.
- Work Deposit Volunteer Charge Adjustment: Families who meet the minimum volunteer hour requirement will have the Volunteer Charge waived. Families who do not meet the requirement will have the Volunteer Charge billed to the card on file at the end of the season.

Volunteer Hour Requirements:
Volunteer hours must be completed between: July 1st and March 15th of each skating season
- The minimum number of hours required is valued at $50 per hour.
- All volunteer hours are tracked through the Volunteer Coordinator.
- Volunteer Opportunities
Opportunities to volunteer, including shifts for the Holiday Show, will be announced starting in November. A sign-up sheet will be emailed to families. Note: To receive credit, you must complete the shifts for which you sign up.

Full Club -- Aspire $200 (4) Four Hours For Refund -- Advanced $300 (6) Six Volunteer Hours for Full Refund
We highly encourage JHSC athletes ages 9 and up to help their families fulfill volunteer hours. There are many volunteer opportunities for athletes, not just parents. Volunteer hours will be awarded for helping with:
- Old Bill’s (September)
- Practices / Show rehearsals
- JHSC events and activities
- Holiday show
- Spring show
Having multiple athletes does not increase a family’s work deposit or volunteer requirement. Multiple athlete families have the same work deposit and volunteer hour requirement as single athlete families.
Scholarship Skaters/ Skaters Receiving Additional Club Funds
Boundless/One-22 Scholarship: Scholarships and additional funds will be managed and applied or refunded as in prior years. If additional funds or scholarships are awarded, hours will be added to “Work Deposit” time at the same rate.
