REFUNDS
It is important to carefully read and understand all the waivers during the registration process. While SCJH strives to accommodate changes and understands that life can be unpredictable but, please note that SCJH does not issue refunds, you do however have the option to cancel your purchase through Active up to 30 days prior to your classes start date and receive 80% back on your original payment form.
In Addition: as a valued member of our community and program, SCJH expects skaters and parents to demonstrate humanity, kindness, empathy, and respect. We have a zero-tolerance policy for racism, discrimination, harassment, or hate in any form. SCJH reserves the right to refuse service to skaters or parents who do not adhere to the club's protocols and policies
Why Can't SCJH Refund? SCJH strives to offer the best services possible, and as part of this process, we must schedule coaches months in advance. These coaches often adjust their schedules to accommodate our needs and our hours we request for a semester. In addition, Coaches must maintain their certifications and spend hours (more hours for higher levels) to get certified. Sr. Coaches cost the club money to "lock them in" in reimbursement for memberships/hours. SCJH also prepays to locks in ice time based on the number of skaters registered as well as pay membership to Learn to Skate or USFS for every skater, purchase supplies and for some costumes. For these reasons, along with many others, SCJH is unable to issue refunds.
SCJH will communicate any updates or changes via email, so please ensure that you provide your correct email address for effective communication. If you would like to request a "Special" refund, please submit a formal email to SCJH explaining why you or your skater can no longer participate, along with supporting documentation such as a doctor's note or a lease agreement showing a move to a new city. SCJH Executive Board will review the information (at its next scheduled meeting) and may vote to refund you for the remaining classes in your semester from the time of your formal request minus any other fees like costumes and memberships.

-MISSED CLASSES-
SCJH is unable to offer partial refunds, discounts, make-up classes, or additional ice time compensation for missed sessions. While we understand that illness, travel, and other personal circumstances may arise, we are unable to accommodate make-up classes due to the structured nature of our programming. All SCJH ice time and classes are carefully planned, with specific groups covering the cost of ice time, and coach schedules based on the number of skaters.
In certain cases, we may be able to accommodate a permanent day switch for the entire semester, provided there is space available. However, we are unable to permit flexible "day hopping" between sessions.
Example of Aspire/AA skaters who register and pay for the full season may cancel the Winter Semester portion of their registration up to 30 days before the start of the Winter Semester. The same 20% cancellation fee that applies to self-cancellations will apply to the refundable Winter Semester balance.
For example, if the full-season registration fee was $3,000 and the published Fall Semester-only price was $1,900, the Winter Semester portion would be calculated as:
