ABOUT ADVANCED:
This hour and 30 minute ice session is designed for skaters of all ages once they have passed level Freestyle 4. Skaters will focus on proper stroking technique, edge quality, artistry, jumps, spins, “moves in the field”, a variety of footwork and much more with their individually selected coaches for group and in privates. Our professional USFS coaches will take your skating to the next level, book your lessons today!
ABOUT SCJH:
The Skating Club of Jackson Hole, also known as SCJH, offers an interactive and safe skating experience for our students. All of our SCJH instructors have undergone Safesport/Background checks, are cleared, and are registered through Learn To Skate USA (LTS) or certified through USFS I.C.E. SCJH operates in the only indoor ice skating rink in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, which is located in The Snow King Sports and Event Center. We are dedicated to providing quality instruction for children and adults of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and creeds. More About Your Advanced Program
Skaters meet twice a week for on-ice group instruction on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00-5:30pm. Each class time is divided into three sections: skating skills, spins, and jumps. As part of your tuition, your skater can enjoy practice time before the group class from 4:00-5:00pm. Additionally, we will be Sunday sessions from October to December from 1:45-2:45pm & 2:45-4:15 starting in Jan. We also are offering weekday freestyles from 3:00-3:40 on Tuesdays and Thursday that can be purchase at an additional price. Private lessons can be scheduled during non-group lesson times; please arrange and pay for these lessons directly with the coach.
If your advanced skater wishes to participate in the Holiday show, their practices will take place on Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 in the month of September through 10/7 and Sundays starting October 11th from 2:45-4:15pm.
In addition we will be offering an office ice class from 5:35-6:05pm on Mondays starting October 12th (5 skaters are needed to run this class).For more information on specific times, please refer to the club calendar. As a valued member of our community and program, SCJH expects skaters and parents to demonstrate humanity, kindness, empathy, and respect. We have a zero-tolerance policy for racism, discrimination, harassment, or hate in any form. SCJH reserves the right to refuse service to skaters or parents who do not adhere to the club's protocols and policies. As a friendly reminder that all tuition payments and previous balances must be settled in full before the commencement of the semester. in addition: It is important to carefully read and understand all the waivers during the registration process. While SCJH strives to accommodate changes and understands that life can be unpredictable, please note that we do not issue refunds. We will communicate any updates or changes via email, so please ensure that you provide us with your correct email address for effective communication.
FAQ:
*What Level Is Advanced?
"AA" Is for skaters who have passed Freestyle 4 . AA is for skater in Freestyle 5 & up.
*What is Open Practice/Freestyle?
This is the time where the skater will practice the moves they have been working on during group. Skaters can take a private lesson during this time as well. NO PRIVATE LESSONS Will be given during "AA" group class. Please book and pay for all privates directly through your coach (review the coaches bio/updates HERE) . AA Practice / Free Skate is Monday, Wednesdays at: 4:00-5:00pm. In addition we will notify you when pope up Fridays happen as well as when Sunday sessions begin. NEW THIS YEAR: We have a weekday freestyle session on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:00-3:40 (that can be purchased through Active).
*Lockers?
Advanced Skaters can add a season locker rental to their package. As a reminder we are asking that skaters share a locker this season. Please add your locker mate at check out (or we will select one for you at the start of the season). If you do not get a locker mate provided by the club you will be asked to pay for the balance of the locker.
*Why the price?
Here are few things to keep in mind: First, SCJH does supplement the Advanced program by about 45% ($2,072 per advanced skater) through fundraising and donations. SCJH is paying more this season for ice and coaching. Advanced program has around 10-12 skaters on the sessions booked for their program (Compared to LTS that has 80). We do have scholarships and payments available. Please reach out with questions you may have.

About Advanced Pricing:
All Skaters are required to pay half tuition (for one semester) or full tuition for the entire season. In addition to the tuition prices, skaters will need to pay $100.00 for their yearly Club Membership (paid once a year). Membership will need to be paid before stepping on the ice. Payment plans are only available till your semester starts as well as scholarships. Scholarships are due into the club on 8/15 for the season SCJH Tuition: * $3,350 for Full Season Tuition + yearly membership two skates a week & additional practices included * $2,000for Fall (Only) Tuition + yearly membership two skates a week & additional practices included * $1900 for Winter (Only) Tuition + yearly membership two skates a week & additional practices included. |
